Is it libel if students submit an anonymous letter to the
principal falsely accusing me of have a relationship with a
student, who is not party to writing the letter. If and
when we find out who wrote the letter (really it is a
matter of proof, we know who did it) do I have a case for
libel and defamation of character against these students?
The school has a tainted history of a previously teacher
admitting to an affair with a student who remains in the
school. Would it be unreasonable to expect that the people
responsible for the letter be expelled from the school?
