I am a paralegal, civil rights advocate, and weekly Visitor at Piedmont Correctional, in Salisbury NC. Visitors from six NC prisons in NC have joined in protest against the new visitation policies being implemented by the Division of prisons. We will be holding a public protest on April 5th. 2004. In front of the Division of Prisons, located in Raleigh, NC. The protest will take place between 3:00 and 5:00. It is our hope to get the attention of an attorney who has a back bone and will help us in filing a class action lawsuit if needed, as well as an injunction. For more information, you can contact us at 336-224-5502. You can also e-mail us at melisiavarner@hotmail.com Anyone who wants to help or join in protest please contact us as soon as possible. There is only one week left for you to let us know if you would like to join in our protest. So, please do not wait call . Only serious callers please. The new policies take affect May 31, 2004 Thank You,
