    That is entirely up to you. You are not legally obligated to
    answer their questions however doing so will likely ensure
    that you receive a favorable reference. I'm not saying they
    won't give you a good reference if you refuse, just that they
    will understandably be feeling very positive about you if you
    help them out.

    If the number of calls really are excessive, then you may
    want to have a friendly chat with your boss and explain that
    you've done what you can since your job was eliminated but
    need to devote your time and energy to your job search and
    really can't help out any longer, OR that you would be happy
    to come in for "x" hours per week to consult and answer
    questions if they're willing to pay for your time.
