Post: Email & 1st Amendment

Posted by Greg Bocchino on 10/08/02
I am a doctoral student enrolled in a Higher Ed. Law course. I am seeking information/feedback/suggestions regarding a case that involves 4 college students at a public university emailing a misogynistic list of "Reasons Why Women Should Not Have Freedom of Speech" to students on their campus. The email contains a list of 75 reasons, some of which are obscene, vulgar, indecent, etc. Anyone know of similar cases I could explore? Legally what are the implications? Does the First Amendment apply? Any information would be greatly appreciated
