Post: Expression?

Isn't our freedom of expression protected by the 1st Amendment? Some expression is not acceptable, however, isn't expression a form of speech? For example, if someone threw a plate in anger, would that not be an expression protected under our first amendment rights? I think that it would be. Is it also not an expression of our rights to yell when we are mad? All these things can also be viewed as an assult. What do you think?
