Post: Wrongful Termination?

Posted by Ethyn, vaeyn@netscape.net, on 10/18/03
Today I got fired from my job. Everything was great for 2 hours until the boss called me up to talk to me. Now, I write in an online journal almost every day. I put my feelings down on there for anyone to read. I do not put anything sexual or any crap like that either. One day, I vented on my journal. I had called my boss a 'dumbass' because of him going behind my back to speak to my doctor. I had also vented at various other times about the owner of the company. Because of all my venting and writing, somebody within my workplace got ahold of it and told him. In turn, it went all the way to corporate office and led to my termination. All I want to know is, were my first amendment rights violated here? Does my online journal fall into something of freedom of speech and expression? I just want to get a little info before I end up doing anything else. Please help me. ~ Ethyn
