    Sure you can be sued - and probably will be. Whether they
    can make a claim for slander or defamation stick is somewhat
    irrelevant. It will cost you thousands to defend yourself.
    If you have been defrauded by this individual, why don't you
    consult with an attorney and take legal action against
    them? That will be a whole lot more effective that passing
    out slanderous fliers. People will just assume you're a
    kook anyway and toss them away.
