Re: Denied Illinois FOID card
Posted by Res Ispa Loquitur on 11/18/06

On the Illinois FOID form it states if you have been treated
for any metal illness. You have. The signing of the form on
your OWN FREE WILL will not constitute as Duress. Duress is
the VIOLENT or ILLEGAL act of forcing another to concent.
By your own words "I needed the treatment" indicates you
agreed with the form and it was you Intent to sign and agree
not to have a FOID card. One of the perils of going to any
mental health person is you will be regarded as
being "crazy". Or Crazy at one time in your life to have to
see such a person. If you felt you needed mental help at
this time then the state thinks your mind is not capable of
dealing with stress or reality and you are risk to own a
fire arm. Your mind relaps when confronted with simuliar
circumstances in the future. Sorry for the bad news but
this is one of the stipulations No mental disorder, No
    felonies, No drug use ect...
