Post: Non-Violent American Can't Possess Firearms

Posted by What 2nd Amendment? on 7/27/07

i WAS a felon. Period. I plea bargained on a felony drug
charge. I received a stay of imposition when I completed
probation (and treatment) The charge was dropped to a
misdemeanor. I did less than 6 months in county work farm. I
have never had a domestic violence, assault, any violent
crime, or even got caught looking like I was violent. Today
I found out I can't possess hunting guns, hand guns, shot
guns, no guns. I am not even a felon! Anymore. I was a
felon for all about 3 years of my life. Now under federal
law, I will never be able to possess firearms again. I did
do a crime, but if you want to hear something even worse...
My friend lives in Wisconsin and got behind on his child
support, like 3 times. They gave him 3 felonies for that!!
He can't possess guns either! I am starting to be fully
convinced that all of our problems on this 2nd amendment
chatboard are actually a plot to something bigger. Too many
NON-VIOLENT Americans are being stripped of their
constitutional right to bear firearms! Right under all of
our noses. I bet you I can appeal and write letters and
fight for my firearm rights until I am fricken torn down and
bloody, but bet I never see them again. It just leaves me
with the 1 single question: What 2nd Amendment?? My only
solution is I am going to put all my energy into seeing that
everyone considers voting for Ron Paul next year. I think
he will turn this silly country around. If he isn't elected
we all just might as well take up golf or cribbage, because
things are only going to get worse. Mark my words.
