Post: convicted felon

Posted by kevski on 12/26/07

When a was 19 I plead no contest to grand larceny (theft of
a 150.00 neon beer light) and it has been nearly 17 years
punishment for my crime. After reading into the law I
decided to have my rights reinstated if possible or expunge
my record so that I could be a normal person with civil
liberties again. I discovered that my 2 year probation was
somehow violated (not sure exactly how yet) and there is an
outstanding warrant for my arrest from 1991 in the state
where I committed the crime. I will have to wait another 10
years from the time the probation has actually been
satisfied before I can attempt to own a gun, by the time I
am 56 years old I won't care to vote or go hunting with my
father, hopefully I won't lose to many more job
opportunities due to a criminal record. Some times life
    just aint fair.
