I am also in the process of getting character reference
letters - I will have about 15 of them including ones from a
retired Sheriff in the county of my conviction and a Sgt in
the Police Dept who's a friend of mine, along with friends
and coworkers.

I have also applied for my FOID which i should get the
denial back in about 3 weeks.

I also requested a copy of my criminal record from the
county where i was convicted.
