Post: Restoring Gun Rights

Posted by David on 9/15/08
In 1999 in Washington state I was convicted of a gross misdeameanor of violating a protection order. At that time I believe I signed a document that indicates my gun rights were suspended for 3 years. I called the county that it was filed in and they don't find anything on record. Where could I call to find out if I still have the suspension of gun rights? Do I even need to file for a reinstatment if it isn't on record anywhere. Can you call the sheriff or police and see if they pull up info on their computer indicating I do or do not have gun rights?
