Part of me wants to get angry at you for being a 5 time
felon.
What you should do is start your own business. Any (legal)
business. Anything where you work for yourself and where you
have to account for profit and loss. It can be something
small like a corner hot dog stand or cutting grass. Then
work up. You wil be amazed at how many opportunities will
come to you, (despite your criminal record) if you show this
kind of "spirit."
As for an attorney, contact your State Bar Association(not
the local Bar) and ask 1) for a Pro Bono Civil Rights group;
2) for a Referral to a Appellate Attorney who focuses on
Criminal Law Procedure.
