A pardon issued by a state other than the state where the conviction was obtained
may not erase your conviction. The state in which the conviction was obtained
must remove the conviction from their records. One state may not remove a
conviction from the records of another state. Likewise, NCIC will not remove a
conviction unless notified by the state where the conviction was obtained.
