Assault victim who is a minor wants to recant the charge
made to police in a fit of anger, but is afraid of filing
a false report.
Do the parents have the right to protect the child from
testifying at a preliminary hearing over the objection the
Deputy District Attorney ?
Has the law recently changed on this point?
