    Andrew,

I would agree with Carol. Having worked in a PD's office as the legal
assistant/office manager for over 7 years, I have seen many new
attorneys come, get experience and then start their own defense
practices. It can become a very lucrative business. I have also
learned that you need to be able to diversify yourself, ie also do
bankruptcies or divorces. That helps to generate more income for you.
Defending criminals will always be there, you just have to get the
    experience. Good luck to you.

And I think that you who judged Andrew on his spelling should be ashamed
of yourselves! I didn't know that this forum was for perfect spellers.
Who would want to come here for advice if they know that they are going
to be criticized for spelling errors?! Shame, shame!
