Post: Business Law dealing with minors
Posted by Abbeyjo Larson on 9/04/10
Im 17 years of age living in the state of nebraska. I had soemwhat of an oral agreement with an owner of a horse stable to board my horse and work off my boarding. However, she was saying one thing and doing another. As well as not handling things in a respectable and professional manner. I have nothing in writting nor did I sign anything agreeing to what we had discussed. We moved her the 2nd week of August she did not discuss my duties until 2 weeks afterwards, even with my several attempts to contact her.Now she is saying I owe her money for 2 months of boarding when I shouldnt. Do I owe her money or do I have the right to back out since I am a minor and did not sign anything or get anything in writing?
