Post: My product is misrepresented in a book

    Posted by Gilly on 2/11/04

I have had a product on the market for years.
Apparently there is a book that just now becoming available
    that critiques certain products.

This book totally misrepresents my products use, purpose
and even how it functions. Literally everything stated is
incorrect. In a very detrimental way.

My question. Does the Author of a book have a legal
obligation to verify the facts before are written. And does
the publisher also share some of that burden ?

I am worried about damages that could occur to my company.
Since the book has not yet been released to the public
could I possible get an injunction to stop its sale, or is
there any recourse in a situation like this.
