    Post: real estate rental question

    Posted by Jeff on 5/09/04

I'm curious if anyone has any info on this. It's a
situation a friend of mine has had a couple times
    in the past.
Here it is, because of relocating to a different state
this person had to prematurely end an annual lease on
a house/apartment. The rental amount was subsequently
paid until the end of the lease prior to leaving the
state and the owner of the property immediately
re-rented the property. The question is, is the
renter due any refund, or is it permissible to re-rent
property and effectively collect double rent during the
    overlap period?
Thanks for any info. BTW, sorry if this is
the wrong area for this post...it seemed like the
    closest topic.

    -Jeff.
