We have spent 4 years cleaning up my husbands credit. The
largest one 1,500.00 has been paid off for 6 months and
still keeps showing on his credit reports. We have
contacted the the bureaus with copies of the cleared check
and requested probably six or eight times for the creditor
to send a receipt to us as well as each bureau. Apparently
they keep selling the account we are recieving collection
notices from at least two other sources for the exact same
amount. What are our rights?
