    Post: Getting into bankruptcy practice

    Posted by Dave on 1/31/05

    Hi everyone,

I'm in the third month of opening a solo practice after
leaving a large law firm. I've got several years of
tax/business/estate trust, but getting new clients is the
challenge of every solo, right? I have several contacts who
want to feed me bankruptcy referrals. I took the courses
in law school. I also have some knowledge of the BR system
since I my IRS conflict clients often have BR cases, and
I've worked with those attorneys from time to time.
However, I have never started a bankruptcy case. Where can
I learn to do this? I've gotten some NBI seminar materials,
but they are a little vague on this point. I'm located in
Atlanta, GA, if anyone can offer some mentoring or other
    assistance. Thanks!

    Dave
