Here's what I would do:
1. Talk to him. Let him know exactly how you feel and don't
beat around the bush. Tell him he has 10 (or however many) days
to do something about this. Always give a time limit and stick
to it.
2. If he doesn't respond quickly, send him a Certified Letter
restating all the facts and when you need him to correct it by.
3. If still no response, go immediately and take the truck.
Then change the locks on it so he can't take it back.

He sounds like an ungrateful kid who thinks that everyone owes
him. He needs to learn different.

Have you tried talking to his parents, too?
