Post: Child's modeling contract
Posted by Barbara on 4/23/07
My child has a contract with a model management firm that we would like to end. The contract was to be for two years. In the beginning of the contract it states that In the event that I decide to terminate your right to endorse my name on any and all documents as specified in the above paragraph I shall first notify you of such termination by certified registered mail. Then the last paragraph says that it is further agreed and accepted that this Agreement shall automatically renew on a year to year basis on and as of the anniversary(4/1/06) of the signing of this Agreement, unless I give you written notice no less than 60 days prior to such anniversary to be delivered by certified mail to the personal manager. My question is this do I just write a letter stating that I would like to terminate the contract and send it registered mail. How do we go about dissolving this agreement properly. Thank you.... Also should I get this letter notarized...
