Word of mouth is a great adveriser in the criminal field. When I first started out here, I got a huge amount of court appointed. They are allowed to ask for certain attorneys and the new name always generates interest. the newest guy here now gets probably the lion's share of the court appointments because he's requested. One thing he does is he goes to the jail and visits his clients. I used to but slacked off because I got too busy. Now they don't ask for me as much. Word travels fast around the jail. Some advice that you may have picked up from the solo board, get the money from private pay up front. And make sure the retainer will be enough to actually pay you when it's all done. Be diligent, knowlegable and a good advocate and that will be as good advertising as any web page. Hope you're successful.
