Re: motion to revoke probation

My husband is now in county jail on a reversal of his bond since he violated the conditions of it. He was sentenced to 6 months SAFP and 10 years of probation for his 3rd DWI. When he got his 3rd DWI he violated the conditions of his probation in another county for the second time. His original state jail time on this charge was 9 months of state jail. The attorney in this case says that he is going to ask for an extension on his probation for this charge. If granted, does that mean he will not have his probation revoked and go straight to SAFP when a bed is opened up and possibly revisit the motion to revoke after he has served this time? I guess, I need to know what the definition of extending probation means in this particular case. Thank you!
