    Post: theft at work

    hi i was recently terminated from my job by asset
    protection and was told if i did not sign a statement that
    i would be arrested on the spot so i signed were he wanted
    me to and have been terminate. I have now received a
    civil demand. It states that if i pay it no civil charges
    will be filed but also says that under a different
    statute i can still face criminal prosecution for over
    5000.00 i did not take this and only signed to avoid
    having to h\go to jail. this occured in texas

    any advice will be helpful
