there was a felony drug warrant issued by the state of
indiana back in 1997. they were wanting extradition over
there. in the mean time then gov. bush issues a fugitive
warrant out for my arrest also. i had about 5 extradition
trials and each time i just got bonded out. bond at first
was 100,000 cash surety but the state judge here in texas
lowered it to 5000. on my last trial i lost, but my trial
lawyer appealed it, also lost the appeal but then nothing
was never done. i was never extradited to indiana. the
warrant was issued from howard county, kokomo, indiana.
the DA's office from there calls down to the Harlingen,Tx.
drug task if i would cooperate with them. my attorney asks
if i would and i said yes. my attorney then takes me to
the Harlingen PD and they needed my help in another drug
case not related to mine. I still cooperated to help and
they got what they needed, and i did not. it has still
been several years and they have told me the statue of
limititations has already run out. what do i need to do to
get this off my record. it was a drug charge for less then
15 pounds of marijuana, which they also know i did not
committ. please advise on what to do.
