17 years ago I was arrested for shiplifting, it was a 3
day weekend so posted bail and then went to court soon
after. I pled guilty to a misdemeanor and paid some fines
and was put on probation. Question: Will this show up as
an issue on a background check...future employer stated
that they are looking for criminal background regarding
children, etc? I hear some places only screen
for "prohibited" crimes and I don't think shoplifting
falls under that category...so is it possible it wouldn't
show up? What is the norm?
