Re: Harrassing phone calls - what can be done?

    These are people trying to collect a student loan debt. That is why
    some of you have no idea as to what debt you may owe and think that
    there is nothing out there outstanding. I had a student loan 18 years
    ago that I did not pay off completely. I had owed something like 600$
    back in 1995. I did not hear from anyone nor did anything show on my
    credit report... so I disregarded it. Some of you may be getting these
    calls for a unpaid student loan that could have been from up to 23
    years ago. These people dont go away so I just gave them the original
    600$ + 300$ which was less then a quarter of the total interest that
    had accrued and they have left me alone.
