Post: Statutory Rape Statue of Limitations Florida

    Posted by Carol on 8/24/06

When I was 13 I lost my virginity to the 24 year old
neighbor. We had sex 3 times before my parents found
out. They threatened to turn him in but ultimately he
took off and they dropped it. At 34 I'm am finally
realizing the emotional damage this man caused me. I was
a basket case for years (I loved him *cringe*). I was a
KID for christs sake. I've spent my life in abusive
relationship and with feelings of very little self worth.
Its only been in the last year that I have finally had the
strength to "revisit" that time in my life and identify
where everything started falling apart in my life.

Well, after 21 years I located this jerk. He's a
successful, happy-go-lucky stud in South Florida with a
thriving career and company. I HATE him. His life turned
out peachy and mine was destroyed.

Is it too late for me or the state to go after him? I
have enough evidence to lock him up - I actually saved the
panties (don't ask) so I even have his DNA.

I want to take back control of my life and I want to start
by making the man who destroyed it pay. Thanks for any
    help or advice.
