Post: Burglary

In 1998 I committed a very stupid crime, I was arrested
for burglary was later dropped to petty theft. in 2002 i
went back to the judge requesting for an expungement and
was granted. But what does that mean? Will it still show
up in my records? I never got any papers or notices on
the expungement after being granted in the courts.
this was my only run w/ the law. I have changed my ways
and have been working off and on but has held a study job
since 2002. I am interested in applying for a promotion
and fear that this may pop up when getting my background
checked or getting my fingerprints done. please help.
