Post: Ajudication withheld

Posted by C on 1/14/08

Twenty years ago I got myself into trouble (felony trouble
as a juvenile but it went to adult court). The end result
was a nolo contendre plea. The court withheld adjuication
and I was put on probation for a couple years.

My question is this - Does "withheld adjudication" mean
that I was not "convicted"? If asked the question, "Have
you ever been convicted of any crime?", can I answer, "No"?

I think I can lawfully say no to that question but want to
    make sure.
