My boyfriend used to live in florida. he was arrested last
year for his first offense of driving without a license.
he was released and put on probation and made to pay
fines. he ended up not paying the fines and moved to
michigan. he was arrested here in michigan for an
outstanding warrant from 3 years ago. he is serving 21
days in jail here and will be on 2 years probabtion and
made to take classes and drug testing, etc. Now, my
question is, they have a "hold" from charlotte county, fl
and he is scheduled to be released from jail here in
michigan in 5 days. He asked a cop in the jail and they
said florida will not pick him up, unless he goes back to
florida. the warrant in florida is a misdeameanor charge.
He is so worried that florida will come get him here in
michigan before he is released from jail. Most people I
talk to say they wont come all that way for a warrant on
VOP and failure to pay fines. anyone have any input on
this??
