My sister was with a friend in Macy's here in TX. Long story
short, my sister was detained but before that she got in a
fight the the LPO. This happened because my sister was
walking out the store and the LPO walked up and grabbed her
shoulder and they got into a fighting match. My sister was
arrested for misdermeanor assault and theft. after reviewing
their tapes, they figured she didnt steal anything and
dropped the thft charge, but kept the assault. My sister
claims the LPo didn't identify herself or anything and the
tape can cooberate her story. Then they searched her car and
towed it. what is Macy's policy on detaining a suspected
shoplifter?
