Post: Oak Brook College of Law or NWCU

    Posted by JS on 8/19/13

I am considering to take JD program one of these schools
and would like to have your comment on couple of questions
    below.

    1. Looking through the board, it seemed that NWCU was
providing adequate programs for (extremely?) self-
disciplined student. Is it still remain the same? Is it
provide all materials without classification of importance?

    2. In Cal bar exam site, I could see the passing statics
and found the rate of First year exam number agains bar
passing number was law for NWCU. I do not mind the number
itself but the rate of "bar passing/first year exam" made
me worry that the NWCU might not be focusing on the
subjects or developing methods of teaching adequate for the
bar exam or at least programs with good quality.

    3. Regarding the christianity... are they forcing to study
the law in a very conservative way? or are they believe in
God as it is literally written in the Bible? I think law
has to be based on certain virtue but if it is too much
absorbed in religion with biased approach then it should be
    mattered to me...

    4. In addition to this, I also found their curriculums are
a bit different. Does it matter significantly in career
    after getting licence?
I am in to politics and would like to be in a position to
contribute in developing or establishing policies. For your
information, I am not in the States, working for a
multinational pharma company as a secretary to CEO, which
enables me to get access to legal documents - actually the
one who recommended me to take JD course was the leader of
legal dept. Majored in psychology, studied int'l law, int'l
    politics, economics.

Any reply or email should be welcomed.
    Thank you!!!
