You're going to have to go into further detail in order for me to assess if you needed your miranda rights read to you. Usually they read you these rights before questioning, allowing you to know that everything you say is now "under oath" and will be used against you. Following this, is usually your constitutional right of an attorney, or appointment of one and your ability to remain silent. If you're not being assessed for any crimes, such as assault or battery, etc., then he was not obligated to read you such rights. Just note, anything you said to him will be concidered off the record and you may have to go in and give your statements again if they're proceeding with a criminal conviction.
