Dear John, I believe people post on Cousel.Net because they want to be responded to, so I will try your posting. Looks to me like you are in good shape, for Dell has offered to refund your money and set up payments. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Why not do it? You have the computer, and I am sure you want to pay for it. Seems like Dell is being pretty reasonable by offering to refund the money. Many companies would not, choosing to go by the old adage that "possession is nine points of the law." Once in possession of the money, don't give it up, they reason. To me this does not look like a garnishment, but a wage assignement that you agreed to. Maybe not that much money at once. Perhaps Dell over did it, or your former employee overdid it in favor of Dell; but, regardless, Dell is offering to refund the money. Take it and let Dell set you up on payments until you have the computer paid in full, thus protecting your credit and good name. Best advice I can give you! Best of luck!
