I recieved a speeding ticket (20 ft past speed limit sign)
and my appearance dat was july 9th, I appeared and the
court had no record of me recievinga ticket- I graciously
allowed them to make a copy of my ticket, entered a plea of
not guilty asd the judge said she would notify me of the
trial date. I just recieved a letter stating that a bench
trial is set for December 3rd... that is 6 mo. from the day
I recieved the ticket and 5 months since my appearance
date. Do I have grounds to have it dismissed since it was
not within 90 days? ( New York State) Also, the cop was
shooting radar from a 30mph zone into a 55 mph zone and got
me at 45mph (20 ft past a sign that was hidden my bushes
and yes I took pictures of the bushes) Any help is greatly
appreciated.
