Post: banned from state correctional facilities!

    Posted by Tanisrae on 1/13/04

I am,yes, banned from all state correctional facilities on
the grounds of "refusal to let officers search my
vehichle,"while attempting to visit an inmate. The
vehichle that was asked to be searched was not even mine,
And worse yet, I was a passenger in the vehichle, being
dropped off at the institution and to be picked up after
the visit. Not even allowing me to visit that day, they
threatened me with seeing to it that I never be permitted
to visit again. Keep in mind, I was a passenger being
dropped off. The next time I tried to visit, I drove
myself and my car, when I gave the officer my ID, I was
informed that until I allowed officers to search my
vehichle, I was not permitted to visit. No other vehichles
were being searched on this day,I was the only one to be
searched. I spoke my disapproval but to be able to
visit, gave permission. Before we,Me and 2 officers called
to do the search exited the building, a third officer spoke
up to say even if search was done on my car this day, I
would not be allowed to visit until the warden approved
it,and being a holiday that was not going to happen.I
thanked the officers and left without a search. I then
recieved a letter from the warden stating I am now banned
from all state correctional facilities on grounds of TWO
refusals to allow search of my vehichle. And it also
stated that I am "suspicious" because of this refusal.
Please respond with any thoughts to this.
