If you are in the state of california the question is how much was the check you bounced for? If it was less than $250 it is a misdemeanor. If that is the case the most time you will probably be taken into custody for is 1 night if that...and that will be for failing to appear in Court. If you can prove you have already made good on the check don't worry about it most times the Judge will place you on court probation, meaning don't do it again or you could still be taken into custody for this offense for up to 3 years. As long as you don't get arrested again you won't hear from them again. If it's a felony case it's more serious-but if you've paid back the money and have no prior record, worst case scenario is you placed on formal probation-and only will do custody time for a violation of probation (if you break the law again)
