When somebody try to "work something out" whith them that person is making a mistake.
They do not want to help you, they just want the money as fast as they can get it and
they will do the wrong thing if they think that they can get away with it.
Here is the tip
If your account had been charged off and you can't make regular payments big enought
to get out of debt in seven years you better don't make a payment at all, nothing,
Zero, nada, never.
The reasons of this is that the credit reporting agency will have to delete all
records of your account ***after 7 years of inactivity***, if you make a payment even
for one dollar they will report that payment to equifax o whatever and the 7 years
term will start all over again, making those small payments don't help to nothing and
you'll never get out the hook, that's why they try so hard to get from you whatever
ammount, even $20.
The second reason is that if you don't pay enouggt but you pay something you are
encouraging them to keep the harasment going, they'll know that you are afraid and
there is a good chance of getting money from you if they try a little harder.
