Post: Threatened with arrest Re: moved out of state

    Posted by sherri on 7/30/05

Its time for hearing August 2nd and I will be going "Pro
Se" to claim my innoncence and to "show cause" of why I
should not be held in contempt..(please read "moved out of
state" postings ) in a letter from my ex's lawyer, he
wants me to pay $1500 to settle out of court..and if we go
to court he emailed me and said "he has no intentions of
asking the court for a money judgement against me. Rather,
I intend to ask the court to issue an warrant and have you
jailed until the property is returned" What are the
chances of me being thrown in jail when I go to the
hearing?? I can't prove his client received ALL of his
belongs, anymore than he can prove I kept some them?? I am
almost afraid of going to the hearing being Pro Se, and
failing to prove my innocence ...can anyone tell me what
the possability are of being arrested? I have a child that
will be a witness at the hearing, I don't want him
    subjected to something like that..
