This is a board for law students. You should consult an attorney, as this is civil procedure law and it varies by state. Due process is the right to notice and a fair hearing. Whether or not you really did receive notice or not is something for the courts to decide. May depend on whether your visitor was living there at the time, as the courts define it. This is something you would have to consult an attorney On 12/05/06, Nikole Sifton wrote: > Hi, I am trying to find info on due process ...we NEVER were > served papers...someone visiting our home signed and never told > us...WE LOST OUR HOUSE FOR NOT SHOWING UP TO COURT.UNSURE WHERE > TO START?????Thanks NIKKI
