1). If they detained me and arrested me wouldn't they have
had to read me my miranda rights?
ANSWER: Not necessarily.
2). They chained me to a bench for 3 hours then put me in a
cell for a bit and then in a interview room for about an
hour or so.
ANSWER. It is not illegal for police to keep prisoners
chained or handcuffed.
3). They told me I was arrested and charged and they didn't
even tell me I had any rights so I basically answered their
questions which put me in a bad postition because I answered
them and now they're using them against me.
ANSWER: You MAY have cause to get your statements excluded.
It depends upon what you said, and under what circumstances
you said it.
4). I can't afford a lawyer.
ANSWER: You may qualify for a court appointed lawyer.
Good luck, but . . . next time, don't do the crime unless
you can do the time.
