I have a brother who violated his probation by not
continuing with mandatory out-patient drug treatment after
six months of house arrest. I was told that this is a
technical violation which he should have gotten a 3-6
month sentence. On Aug.18,2006 he was sentenced to a 11.5-
23 month sentence which includes 3 months of drug
treatment, has to get a vocational trade certificate and
then released to a work-release facility. He is currently
serving this sentence at CFCF in PA. My question is was
this a fair sentence based on the violation or was he
given an illegal amount of time? PLEASE get back to me
ASAP! Thank You.
