help with what? what do you want to do? it may have been
unethical to talk about something that he has knowledge of
because of his treatment of you or your family, and yes you
have a right to privacy. Does that mean you can sue him and
get rich? nope. You have to have real monetary damages to
sue someone, you have to have lost money in other words.

best advise I can give you: if he's a good dentist and you
like him tell him you're very disappointed in his behavior
and demand an explanation. If you don't care to stay in the
practice tell him so and why then go find another dentist.
