least give you some advice. Since you only owe $3,000,
bankruptcy is not an option.

You agreed to the debt when you signed the loan form.
Whoever you talked to did not have authority modify the
written loan agreement you signed when you bought the truck.

Sounds like Chrysler actually did right by you. If you
bought a new truck and made a few payments (even a year or
more) and only owe $3,000 they certainly didn't take
advantage of you. Your monthly payments were probably lower
than a long term lease would have been and the depreciation
on a new truck would have been considerable. If you bought
a new truck and returned it after only one payment you would
undoubtedly owe more than $3,000.

If you do not contest the $3,000 debt, a default judgment
will be entered. You might want to work with the law firm
suing you. $3,000 isn't worth their time in court so they
may be happy to make a deal with you. Offer to give them
$.50 on the dollar of the debt at $100 per month for 15
months.

Yes, they can attach your wages and probably will if a
judgment is entered. The loan agreement will have a clause
in it that allows for attorney fees and collection costs.
That $3,000 will turn into much more if the court awards
those fees and costs and of course the default interest
rate. The court will allow them a small % of your wages
each pay check. A judgment will follow you for at least 7
years and possibly longer.
