I was issued a ticket for no insurance, paid my fines, then find they are double charging me. I have been caught driving with a suspended license a few times and was taken to jail for it. My license are still suspended and they expired in 2006. I hurt my back (slipped dics-L5)and am trying to get my disability started, my wife works but she is paying all bills. I read where the surcharge fees were created to help fix Texas roads,(almost all roads I have been on don't appear to be fixed)and also to help pay for unpaid hospital bills. My wife works at a hotel, not much money, they charge $89-$99 a night, what is the rate for a hospital room(without pool access or a mint on your pillow.) The price for a single Tylonel you could buy 5 or 6 big bottles for what they charge for one. If they would cut their cost more people could pay and doctors need to lower their fees. I know they spend alot of money learning how to keep us well. I heard a doctor on a radio talk show saying when he saw his first patient he was $300,000+ in debt, ok I see why they charge so much, but after you repay monies owed and get on your feet,so to speak, lower your fees, you could go into a profession you are already skilled in. Sorry if I have stepped on anyones toes, I just needed to get that of my mind.
