    You need to consult with a local attorney if there is any
    significant amount of money in your husband's bank account.
    However, if the judgment is against you as an individual and
    your name is not on the checking account at all, in most
    states you should be OK. They may be able to go after
    property that is owned jointly with your husband but a bank
    account that is in his name only should be untouchable
    unless they show to a court that you have transferred your
    money into his account for the purpose of avoidance.
