    Depends on the state you live in. If you live in an
    employment at will state, you can be fired for any or no
    reason at all. You will need to contact an employment
    attorney in your area to find out what to do next. It
    doesn't sound real promising. Also because they fired you
    for what looks like a bad check, do not talk to anyone
    except an attorney about it. They may be considering
    criminal charges.
